What is particular
to Café.

We service Café hood combinations (CVM721 in Platinum Glass, the CVM517 convection and air fry model), the CEB515 countertop convection microwave in its countertop or kit installation, the CWL112 microwave drawer and the CSB912 and CSB913 Five in One ovens. The Five in One and the countertop CEB515 finished their production runs in 2024, and both are still serviced.

HOT is a message, not a warning light

The CVM721 and CEB515 show HOT whenever the cavity is above 200°F, and the sensor programs refuse to start until it cools. Seeing HOT right after a convection bake is normal, so we ask about the last cycle before treating it as a sensor problem.

Connected to the phone

The CVM721 and CEB515 carry WiFi Connect for the Café Appliances Kitchen App, joined by holding the WiFi Connect button for 3 seconds. After a router change the microwave simply drops off the network, which is a setup step rather than a repair.

Lamps and heaters as well as microwaves

The Five in One ovens cook with an upper halogen lamp and ceramic heater, a lower ceramic heater and a convection system on top of the microwave. When speedcooking stops browning but plain microwaving still works, the lamps and heaters are checked first.

A countertop unit with broil and convection

The CEB515 has its own broiler and convection elements and a door latch release button, and Café sells 27- and 30-inch kits (CX152, CX153) to build it in. A door that will not open is checked at the release button and latch before the control is suspected.

Parts

Filters, turntable parts and door switches are ordered by the full model number and are generally stocked. Halogen lamps and ceramic heaters for the Five in One and the glass-front door parts of the CVM721 are specific to those models and can take longer to arrive.

Repair or replace

A Café hood combination or a kit-installed CEB515 is usually worth repairing for a switch, a lamp, a fan or a board, because the finish is matched to the rest of the kitchen. A Five in One with several failed heaters and an old control is where a replacement deserves a real comparison.

What does HOT mean on my Café microwave?
The cavity is above 200°F. Sensor programs will not run until it cools, so either wait or cook by time; nothing needs repairing.
How do I unlock CONTROL LOCKED on a Café convection microwave?
It depends on the model. The CVM517 unlocks with a 3-second hold on Mute On/Off, while the CVM721 and CEB515 unlock with a 3-second hold on OFF/CLEAR.
Can a Café countertop microwave be built into a cabinet?
The CEB515 can, with Café's installation kit sized for a 27- or 30-inch opening. The kit has to be removed before the microwave comes out for service, so leave room to reach its screws.
My Café Five in One shows F and a number. What do I do?
Press Dismiss, let the oven cool for an hour and use it again. If the same code comes back, switch the breaker off for at least 30 seconds; if it still returns, book a visit.
