What is particular

We service JennAir microwave hood combinations, 27- and 30-inch built-in microwaves including the RISE speed-cook model, and the 24-inch RISE and NOIR microwave drawers. Knowing which design line you have helps us bring the right trim and handle parts.

Speed-cook with three heat sources

The RISE 30-inch built-in combines convection heat, microwave energy and a broil element in one cavity, run from a 4.3-inch full color touchscreen. A complaint about uneven browning can come from the convection element or its fan as easily as from the magnetron.

A drawer that opens itself

A light pull or the Open key sends a JennAir microwave drawer out on its motor, and a light push or Close brings it back. If it stops halfway, JennAir allows moving it by hand with even pressure near the middle, which is also how we check the slides.

Demo mode hides as a dead magnetron

On the drawer, Demo mode turns on the light and fan but never the magnetron, and it is reached with a short sequence on the Setup key. We rule it out on the phone before sending anyone for a no-heat call.

Stainless cavities on the hood models

JennAir's Euro-style hood combinations have stainless steel interiors and come in microwave-only or convection versions. Those with convection can show cavity and preheat codes that a basic microwave never does.

Parts

Keypads, sensors and control boards for the hood combinations are ordered by model and serial number. Drawer mechanisms and the speed-cook model's convection parts are model-specific and are confirmed before the visit when possible.

Repair or replace

A built-in or a drawer is fitted to its cabinet opening, so a repair almost always beats tearing out trim for a replacement. On a hood combination, a sensor or keypad code is a routine repair; a board plus a magnetron on an aged unit is worth weighing.

My JennAir microwave drawer stopped halfway. Can I move it by hand?
Yes. JennAir says to push or pull it the rest of the way with even pressure near the middle of the drawer. If it stops again, book a visit so the motor and slides can be checked.
Why won't my JennAir drawer start even though it has power?
JennAir's checklist starts with Control Lock and Demo mode, then the timer. A lock is released by holding Control Lock for 3 seconds.
Is the JennAir RISE 30-inch built-in a microwave or an oven?
It is a built-in microwave with speed-cook, meaning it adds a 1,200-watt convection element and broiling to microwave power. It can bake and brown as well as reheat.
What does F7 E9 mean on a JennAir hood combination?
It points to overheating, and JennAir's first question is whether the vent door on top is blocked by trim or cabinetry. Clear it before booking.
Does JennAir sell a countertop microwave?
