Café microwaves let you lock the controls for cleaning or to keep children off them. While the lock is set, the display answers every key with CONTROL LOCKED, or LOCKED on the CWL112 drawer, and nothing will start.

What to do when CONTROL LOCKED shows on the microwave

On the CVM721 and CEB515, hold OFF/CLEAR for about 3 seconds.

On the CVM517, hold Mute On/Off for about 3 seconds; on the CWL112 drawer hold Clear/Off.

If none of these releases it, cut power at the breaker for 30 seconds and try again before booking a visit.

The code has gone and a mug of water heats again without a new part. If it comes back this week, or the food starts coming out cold in the middle, mention in the booking that it came back.

CONTROL LOCKED is not a dead touch panel or a failed board. On the Five in One ovens the screen lock is a different feature, released from an Unlock icon on the touch screen.
