What F1
actually means.

The SKSLV built-in microwave speed ovens carry two temperature sensors that the control watches while it bakes, broils or air fries. F1 is the code the owner's manual gives when the one labeled high thermistor reads as an open circuit, so the control can no longer tell how hot the cavity is and stops the heat.

What to do when F1 shows on the microwave

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from SKS's own guidance for F1 on its microwaves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Press CLEAR/OFF to silence the beep and clear F1 from the screen.

02

Set the cooking function again from the start and watch whether F1 returns.

03

If F1 shows up a second time, write the code down and switch the speed oven off at its breaker until the visit.

04

Book a visit so the sensor and its wiring can be tested from behind the unit, which is not an owner job.

Still there?

It usually turns into microwave control board and touchpad repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

F1 is not the same as F2, which reports the same sensor shorted rather than open, or F12 and F13, which point at the second sensor. It does not mean the magnetron has stopped, and plain microwave heating is not what the code is about.

What you may
notice with it.

The microwave problems F1 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the microwave before anyone is booked.

Questions
about F1.

Can I clear F1 myself?
Press CLEAR/OFF to silence the beep and clear F1 from the screen. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can I keep using the microwave mode on my SKS speed oven while F1 is showing?
The manual only tells you to clear the code and reprogram. If F1 keeps coming back, stop using the unit and book a visit, because the control is running without a reading it relies on.
Why did F1 appear on my SKS speed oven right after a power cut?
A power interruption can leave the control in an odd state, so clear the code and try one cooking function. If F1 returns on a normal cycle, the sensor circuit itself needs to be checked.
Is F1 on the SKSLV3011MT the same as on the SKSLV3001S?
Yes. Both manuals print the same code table, and F1 carries the same meaning on the transitional and the professional model.

Three details make the booking useful: the characters or beeps just as they appeared, every character of the model number, and whether a cup of water still warms up. With those, the technician arrives already halfway to the answer.
