The MO30STANE uses one word for two situations. During sensor cooking, if the vapor reading is interrupted or never arrives, the program stops and ERROR shows; while setting the 12-hour clock, an impossible time also brings up ERROR.

The control has stopped trusting what one of its sensors reports: the cook or humidity sensor that ends a sensor reheat when steam rises, or a thermal cutout that trips when the cavity or the magnetron runs too hot. A cutout that opens stops the microwave mid-cycle and often recovers once it cools; one that keeps tripping, or a sensor program that shuts off at once every time, needs the sensor, its wiring or the airflow behind it checked.

Touch STOP/CLEAR and enter the clock again in 12-hour form if you were setting it.
For sensor cooking, keep the door closed and leave STOP/CLEAR alone until the remaining time appears.
Wipe the dish and cavity dry and try again; for popcorn, a sensor miss just returns the display to the time of day.
If every sensor program ends in ERROR, cook by time and power and book a visit for the sensor.

What not to do
ERROR does not mean the microwave has stopped heating; timed cooking still works if only the sensor is involved. It is also different from SERVICE on the hood model, which reports a supply problem.
