SKS lists F3 as a key short. The control expects each touch key to open again after you let go; when one stays closed, it reports F3 and refuses to run so a phantom press cannot start or change a cycle.

The electronics that read the keys and run the cycle have flagged a problem with themselves: a key that the control sees as held down for too long, a membrane keypad worn through or swollen by steam, a lost link between the keypad and the board, or a board that failed its own check after a surge. A breaker reset now and then clears a glitch; a stuck key or a code that comes straight back points to the keypad or the board.

Wipe the touch screen and panel with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry it, since moisture or grease can bridge a key.
If F3 comes back with a dry, clean panel, book a visit so the touch panel and its connection to the control can be tested.
