What HELP
actually means.

Wolf's sensor, defrost and reheat settings each carry a short tip. When one is available, HELP lights on the display; pressing the key the guide names shows the tip as scrolling text. It is information, not a warning.

What to do when HELP shows on the microwave

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Wolf's own guidance for HELP on its microwaves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

On MS24 and MC24 models, touch SETTINGS while HELP is lit to read the hint.

02

On older MW series models, press the Help button instead.

03

Press STOP/CLEAR to close the message; if HELP stays lit with no setting chosen and the pads do nothing, book a visit.

Cleared?

The code has gone and a mug of water heats again without a new part. If it comes back this week, or the food starts coming out cold in the middle, mention in the booking that it came back.

What not to do

HELP is not a request to call anyone and does not point at a broken part. It is also different from the small i on the drop-down door models, which Wolf describes as an information cue that cannot be cleared.

What you may
notice with it.

The microwave problems HELP tends to arrive with. Answer these at the microwave before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

Something was switched on rather than something wearing out: a child or control lock set by a long press on the wrong pad, after which no key answers, a demo or showroom setting that lights the display and turns the plate while nothing warms, a Sabbath setting that dims the panel and mutes the beeps, or a clock left blinking after an outage that holds the keypad until it is set. No part is needed; a key sequence from the manual switches it off again.

In Wolf's own words

If HELP is displayed on the Microwave, the Microwave is in the SETUP/HELP Mode.

Every code on this site is taken from the manufacturer's documentation, never from a forum or a parts listing. Wolf's answer covers the MW series and the MS and MC side-swing microwaves; the MS24 standard guide describes the HELP indicator.

Questions
about HELP.

Can I clear HELP myself?
On MS24 and MC24 models, touch SETTINGS while HELP is lit to read the hint.
Does HELP on my Wolf MS24 mean something needs repair?
No. It means the mode you picked has a tip. Touch SETTINGS to read it or STOP/CLEAR to dismiss it.
Why does HELP appear on my Wolf convection microwave only for some settings?
Only the sensor, reheat, defrost and warm settings have stored hints, so HELP lights for those and not for a plain timed cook.
Can I turn the HELP messages off on a Wolf microwave?
Wolf's answer describes how to view and cancel them, not how to disable them. They end on their own and do not affect cooking.

Still showing HELP?

Three details make the booking useful: the characters or beeps just as they appeared, every character of the model number, and whether a cup of water still warms up. With those, the technician arrives already halfway to the answer.
