What L0 F
actually means.

The MWC24 shows L0 F instead of a number while its cavity thermistor reads under 100°F. Right after you press Convection, that is expected and usually clears within about a minute as the cavity warms. It becomes a concern only if L0 F stays up during preheat for much longer, since the cavity may not be heating.

What to do when L0 F shows on the microwave

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Wolf's own guidance for L0 F on its microwaves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Give the preheat a minute or two and watch for a temperature to replace L0 F.

02

Remember that pressing Convection during cooking shows the set temperature, not the measured one, so check during preheat.

03

If L0 F never changes and the cavity stays cold, stop the cycle and book a visit to test the convection element and sensor.

What not to do

L0 F is not a low-voltage or low-power message and does not concern microwave heating. On its own at startup it means nothing is wrong.

Questions
about L0 F.

Can I clear L0 F myself?
Give the preheat a minute or two and watch for a temperature to replace L0 F. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Is L0 F on my Wolf MWC24 a broken sensor?
Usually not. It shows while the cavity is under 100°F and is replaced by a temperature once preheat gets going.
How long should L0 F stay on a Wolf MWC24 during preheat?
Wolf says it normally clears in about a minute. If it lingers well past that and the cavity stays cool, the convection side needs a check.
Does the newer Wolf MC24 show L0 F too?
Wolf's answer is written for the MWC24. Follow the MC24 guide for its display messages, and book a visit if an MC24 does not warm up in convection.

Three details make the booking useful: the characters or beeps just as they appeared, every character of the model number, and whether a cup of water still warms up. With those, the technician arrives already halfway to the answer.
