Monogram's sensor and sensor-steam programs wait for the food to give off steam before they settle the cooking time. On the ZEB1227, opening the door too early or never reaching that reading ends the program with ERR, which scrolls until you press Cancel/Off.

The control has stopped trusting what one of its sensors reports: the cook or humidity sensor that ends a sensor reheat when steam rises, or a thermal cutout that trips when the cavity or the magnetron runs too hot. A cutout that opens stops the microwave mid-cycle and often recovers once it cools; one that keeps tripping, or a sensor program that shuts off at once every time, needs the sensor, its wiring or the airflow behind it checked.

The steam never reached the sensor, often because the dish was sealed. Vent the cover and keep the door closed until the countdown starts.

Yes. The drawer writes it out in words; the ZEB1227 uses the three letters.
