What F3
actually means.

On the ZEB1227, the control stops and shows F3 when a key has been active for more than 60 seconds. Monogram names liquid on the control panel as a common cause. The ZWL1126 drawer reports the same condition as KEYPAD SHORTED – SERVICE MAY BE NEEDED.

Still there?

It usually turns into microwave control board and touchpad repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

F3 has nothing to do with the magnetron or the steam system. A repeat F3 on a dry panel is the touch control, not the main board, in most cases.

What you may
notice with it.

Three details make the booking useful: the characters or beeps just as they appeared, every character of the model number, and whether a cup of water still warms up. With those, the technician arrives already halfway to the answer.
