Thermador's microwaves and speed ovens use touch buttons that can be fooled by moisture. When the control sees presses that make no sense, it shows E11 with the support number and waits for the panel to be dried and the power cycled.

The electronics that read the keys and run the cycle have flagged a problem with themselves: a key that the control sees as held down for too long, a membrane keypad worn through or swollen by steam, a lost link between the keypad and the board, or a board that failed its own check after a surge. A breaker reset now and then clears a glitch; a stuck key or a code that comes straight back points to the keypad or the board.

Wipe the control panel dry with a soft, dry cloth.
Turn the breaker off, wait roughly ten seconds, then turn it on again.
Run the vent or open a window if the kitchen is steamy, and give the panel a few minutes.
If E11 returns on a dry panel, book a visit for the touch control.
