Thermador lists Demo Mode first among the reasons a MicroDrawer does not operate or does not heat. It is reached by pressing the timer/settings key eleven times, and the drawer then behaves like a display model. Thermador microwave display · also shown as DEMO OFF What to do when DEMO ON shows on the microwave ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure Something was switched on rather than something wearing out: a child or control lock set by a long press on the wrong pad, after which no key answers, a demo or showroom setting that lights the display and turns the plate while nothing warms, a Sabbath setting that dims the panel and mutes the beeps, or a clock left blinking after an outage that holds the keypad until it is set. No part is needed; a key sequence from the manual switches it off again. ### Usually leads to No repair Press timer/settings eleven times in a row; the display asks DEMO OFF? TOUCH START. ### Shows up as What a Microwave Error Code Is Telling You A microwave error code may be a letter and a number on the display, a lock or demo word, a row of dashes, or a beep with a blinking clock, and it can show while the microwave still heats or block every key until it is cleared. ### Make Thermador Thermador microwaves diagnosed in place, from a drawer that will not glide open to a built-in unit that runs with no heat. ### Source Thermador MD24BS / MD30BS MicroDrawer Use and Care Guide Thermador MicroDrawer MD24BS and MD30BS (Use and Care Guide 8001299202). ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Thermador's own guidance for DEMO ON on its microwaves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Press timer/settings eleven times in a row; the display asks DEMO OFF? TOUCH START. 02 Confirm with Start (+30 secs) and look for DEMO OFF. 03 Heat water for a minute to confirm; if it stays cold, book a visit. ### Cleared? The code has gone and a mug of water heats again without a new part. If it comes back this week, or the food starts coming out cold in the middle, mention in the booking that it came back. ### What not to do DEMO ON is not a failure of the high-voltage parts and needs no repair. Press timer/settings eleven times in a row; the display asks DEMO OFF? TOUCH START. ### My new Thermador MicroDrawer will not heat. Is Demo mode the reason? It is the first thing Thermador asks you to check. Look for DEMO ON and switch it off. ### How many presses switch off Thermador Demo mode? Eleven presses of timer/settings, then Start. ### Can Thermador Demo mode turn on by accident? It takes eleven presses and a confirming hold, so it is uncommon, but a reset or a showroom unit can leave it on. --- **[Read on the site: Thermador DEMO ON: the MicroDrawer is set to demonstrate, not heat](https://microwaverepair.center/error-codes/thermador-demo-on/)** **[Book a visit with MicrowaveRepair.center](https://microwaverepair.center/schedule/)**
