Smeg's compact microwave flashes the clock to show the time can no longer be trusted. The OTR24XU hood model shows 12:00 PRESS CLOCK ENTER TIME at the same moment. Smeg microwave display · also shown as 12:00 PRESS CLOCK ENTER TIME What to do when Flashing clock shows on the microwave ### Kind of code Power and supply The microwave has noticed trouble with the power reaching it: an outage or a brownout that interrupted a cycle, a voltage too low for the magnetron to start, or a supply that dipped when something else on the circuit switched on. As often as not the cause is the circuit, the outlet in the cabinet above or the breaker rather than the unit; a main fuse that blows again after a reset points inside, where only a technician goes. ### Usually leads to Microwave diagnostic visit A visit that times a cup of water against the clock, checks the door and its switches, then tests the high-voltage section, the controls and the moving parts one at a time until a single part is named. ### Shows up as What a Microwave Error Code Is Telling You A microwave error code may be a letter and a number on the display, a lock or demo word, a row of dashes, or a beep with a blinking clock, and it can show while the microwave still heats or block every key until it is cleared. ### Make Smeg Smeg microwaves checked on site, with attention to the door hinge, the latch and whether the cavity lamp lights as the door swings open. ### Source Smeg SFU4300MX / SOCU2300MX compact microwave with grill instructions SFU4300MX / SOCU2300MX: flashing clock.
