F5 is the shorted counterpart of F4. The humidity sensor or its wiring reads as a short, so the control cannot use it to time sensor programs. GE Profile microwave display What to do when F5 shows on the microwave ### Kind of code Sensors and temperature The control has stopped trusting what one of its sensors reports: the cook or humidity sensor that ends a sensor reheat when steam rises, or a thermal cutout that trips when the cavity or the magnetron runs too hot.
