Gaggenau does not list what each number means. On the Expressive series GM models you confirm the message on the display; on the older BMP 250/251 you turn the selector to 0. If the message goes away, Gaggenau treats it as a single event. If it stays or keeps returning, the number is passed to service. Gaggenau microwave display · also shown as Exxx What to do when Exx shows on the microwave ### Kind of code Control board and touchpad The electronics that read the keys and run the cycle have flagged a problem with themselves: a key that the control sees as held down for too long, a membrane keypad worn through or swollen by steam, a lost link between the keypad and the board, or a board that failed its own check after a surge. Note the exact number shown. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Does Gaggenau publish what each E-number means? No. The manuals say only that an error occurred and ask you to pass the number on if it repeats. ### My Gaggenau error disappeared after I confirmed it. Is that the end of it? Gaggenau calls that a one-off. Keep a note of the number in case it returns. ### Why is my old Gaggenau showing four characters and the new one three? The BMP 250/251 manual writes it as Exxx, while the Expressive series manual writes Exx.
