Fisher & Paykel microwave display · also shown as CHILD LOCK, lock indicator What to do when LOCK shows on the microwave ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure Something was switched on rather than something wearing out: a child or control lock set by a long press on the wrong pad, after which no key answers, a demo or showroom setting that lights the display and turns the plate while nothing warms, a Sabbath setting that dims the panel and mutes the beeps, or a clock left blinking after an outage that holds the keypad until it is set. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 On the MOH30SB1 and the OMD24 microwave drawers, press and hold STOP/CLEAR for three seconds. 02 On the CMOH-30SS, touch HELP MENU, then 1, then STOP/CLEAR; on the MO-24SS, touch HELP MENU and STOP/CLEAR. 03 On a touch-screen speed oven, touch and hold the screen to unlock it. 04 If the lock will not release with the right key sequence, book a visit so the keypad and board can be checked. ### Cleared? The code has gone and a mug of water heats again without a new part. If it comes back this week, or the food starts coming out cold in the middle, mention in the booking that it came back. ### What not to do A locked keypad is a setting, not a broken board, and it does not cut power to the magnetron or the fan by itself. On the CMOH-30SS the vent fan and light still work under the lock, so a fan that runs while the keys are dead is expected. ## What you may notice with it. On the MOH30SB1 and the OMD24 microwave drawers, press and hold STOP/CLEAR for three seconds. ### Why will my Fisher & Paykel microwave drawer not open when I press it? Check for the lock indicator first. Key Lock on the OMD24 drawers locks the drawer as well as the keypad, and a three-second hold on STOP/CLEAR releases both. ### Why does the fan on my Fisher & Paykel hood microwave work when the keys do not? On the CMOH-30SS, Safety Lock leaves the FAN and LIGHT pads live on purpose. If only the cooking keys are dead and LOCK appears, the lock is on rather than the board failing. ### Can the lock turn itself on while cleaning the panel? Not by wiping alone on most models, since it needs a key sequence or a long press.
