Auto Defrost and the automatic broil and roast programs on the PCOR30S work from the food's weight in tenths of a pound. When the number you enter is outside the program's range, the display answers with ERROR WEIGHT TOO SMALL or TOO LARGE and waits for a new entry. Dacor microwave display · also shown as ERROR WEIGHT TOO LARGE What to do when ERROR WEIGHT TOO SMALL shows on the microwave ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure Something was switched on rather than something wearing out: a child or control lock set by a long press on the wrong pad, after which no key answers, a demo or showroom setting that lights the display and turns the plate while nothing warms, a Sabbath setting that dims the panel and mutes the beeps, or a clock left blinking after an outage that holds the keypad until it is set. No part is needed; a key sequence from the manual switches it off again. ### Usually leads to No repair Touch STOP/CLEAR and re-enter the weight in pounds and tenths, within the range listed in the manual's chart. ### Shows up as What a Microwave Error Code Is Telling You A microwave error code may be a letter and a number on the display, a lock or demo word, a row of dashes, or a beep with a blinking clock, and it can show while the microwave still heats or block every key until it is cleared. ### Make Dacor Dacor microwave visits start with the story of the last cook: what was inside, how long it ran and what the door window showed. ### Source Dacor PCOR30S convection microwave hood combination use and care manual Dacor PCOR30S 30-inch convection microwave hood combination. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Dacor's own guidance for ERROR WEIGHT TOO SMALL on its microwaves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Touch STOP/CLEAR and re-enter the weight in pounds and tenths, within the range listed in the manual's chart. 02 For amounts outside the chart, cook or defrost by time and power level instead. 03 If the message appears for weights inside the range every time, book a visit to check the control panel. ### Cleared? The code has gone and a mug of water heats again without a new part. If it comes back this week, or the food starts coming out cold in the middle, mention in the booking that it came back. ### What not to do This message has nothing to do with a scale inside the microwave; the unit does not weigh food. It is also not the sensor ERROR that ends a sensor cycle. ## What you may notice with it. The microwave problem ERROR WEIGHT TOO SMALL tends to arrive with. Touch STOP/CLEAR and re-enter the weight in pounds and tenths, within the range listed in the manual's chart. ### Why does my Dacor PCOR30S reject 12 ounces of chicken for Auto Defrost? Weights are entered in pounds and tenths, so 12 ounces is about 0.8. Enter it that way and check it is inside the chart for that food. ### Does ERROR WEIGHT TOO LARGE on my Dacor mean it is overloaded? It only means the number is above the program's limit. Split the food or use a timed defrost. ### Is this ERROR on the Dacor PCOR30S the same as the sensor ERROR? No. The weight message is about what you typed, while the plain ERROR on sensor cooking is about vapor the unit could not read. --- **[Read on the site: Dacor ERROR WEIGHT TOO SMALL or TOO LARGE: the weight entered is outside the program](https://microwaverepair.center/error-codes/dacor-error-weight-too-small/)** **[Book a visit with MicrowaveRepair.center](https://microwaverepair.center/schedule/)**
