The KOTR30XV hood model prints LOCK, the MO30STANE built-in prints CHILD LOCK, and the KOTR24XV hood model and the MD24LX drawer light a locked icon. Bertazzoni microwave display · also shown as CHILD LOCK, locked icon What to do when LOCK shows on the microwave ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure Something was switched on rather than something wearing out: a child or control lock set by a long press on the wrong pad, after which no key answers, a demo or showroom setting that lights the display and turns the plate while nothing warms, a Sabbath setting that dims the panel and mutes the beeps, or a clock left blinking after an outage that holds the keypad until it is set. Each step comes from Bertazzoni's own guidance for LOCK on its microwaves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 On the KOTR30XV, press Stop/Reset three times. 02 On the KOTR24XV, press and hold STOP/RESET for three seconds; on the MD24LX drawer, hold CHILD LOCK for three seconds. 03 On the MO30STANE, touch HELP and then STOP/CLEAR. 04 If none of these releases the panel, book a visit to check the keypad and control board. ### Cleared? The code has gone and a mug of water heats again without a new part. If it comes back this week, or the food starts coming out cold in the middle, mention in the booking that it came back. ### What not to do The lock is a setting that blocks the keypad; it does not mean the board has failed. On the KOTR30XV, press Stop/Reset three times. ### How did the lock get turned on on my Bertazzoni hood microwave? On the 30-inch KOTR30XV it takes only three presses of Start, which is easy to do while cleaning or reheating in a hurry. Three presses of Stop/Reset undo it. ### Why will my Bertazzoni microwave drawer not respond to the Open key? If the locked icon is lit, the drawer is in child lock and ignores the keys. Hold CHILD LOCK for three seconds until it beeps, then try Open again. ### Why does my Bertazzoni hood microwave fan not run when the panel is locked? The lock is meant to stop the oven being turned on by accident, so clear it first and try the fan again.
